COOKIE USAGE POLICY
This section deals with the processing of personal data collected passively by LFB in connection with the use of the Site. For information about data actively collected, please refer to the Personal data heading.
A cookie is a text file that may be saved, subject to your choices, on a dedicated space of the hard disk of your computer, when viewing a website. It contains the name of the server that filed it, an identifier in the form of a unique number and possibly an expiry date. Each website can access the cookies that it has filed on a computer to read, edit, and save the data they contain. The term “cookie” has to be taken in the broadest sense and covers all tracers filed or read, for example, when viewing a website, reading an e-mail, installing or using software or a mobile application, regardless of the type of terminal used such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
There are two types of cookies:
- Internal cookies: they come from the website that you are viewing and can be temporary (session) or persistent
- Third-party cookies: they come from other websites that have inserted elements, for example an advertising window or an image, in the pages of the site you are viewing.
Temporary cookies (or session cookies) are deleted from your computer at the end of your browsing session. They allow you to view different pages of a website without having to enter data you have already provided each time.
Persistent cookies are stored on your computer after your browser is closed. They are used to store data such as language selection, your identifier and your password so that you do not have to enter these each time you visit the site, etc.
Cookies can have different purposes, presented in the following table:
|Strictly necessary or essential cookies||They are indispensable to the operation of the websites and to provide you with the required level of service|
|Performance and statistics cookies||These control the performance of websites, for example the number of visits, the number of pages viewed, how a visitor arrives on a site, or possibly headings requiring maintenance|
|Features cookies||These store your choices and preferences such as your user name or the site language, and optimize the page display|
|Targeting and advertising cookies||These display relevant advertisements based on your interests, limit the number of times where you are exposed to an advertisement or help to measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign|
Exhaustive list of the cookies used by the site (PIWIK and WordPress):
|Name of the cookie||Type||Type of cookie||Purpose||Term of validity|
|_icl_current_language||WordPress||Cookie||Is used to store the current language of the site||24 hours|
|pk_ref||PIWIK||Cookie main purposes||Identify the page from which visitors came on the website to identify the sites that generate the most traffic||6 months|
|_pk_id||PIWIK||Cookie main purposes||Avoid counting someone twice when calculating the number of site visits||2 years|
|_pk_ses||PIWIK||Cookie man purposes||How long the user remains on the site||30 min|
|_pk_cvar||PIWIK||Optional||This optional cookie is placed on your computer when, for example, you participate in a survey. The cookie prevents you from being invited to participate in the same survey again.||2 years|
The audience measurement tool used for the Site is Piwik. It has been set in accordance with the recommendations of the National Commission for Data Processing and Personal Freedoms to be made compliant with the regulations. Piwik measures, through the allocation of a unique random (cookie) identifier, the number of visits, the number of page views, your activity on the site and your return rate. It also collects data about your browser (such as the approximate location, the default language) and your terminal (such as the type, brand and model). All this data is made anonymous and cannot in any way identify you personally or go back to you. This data is kept for a period of 12 months.
Here you can choose NOT to allow monitoring of your computer via a cookie assigning it a unique identification number. Our Piwik web analytics tool will not record the activity of your computer.
To make this choice and install an exclusion cookie, please click on the button at the bottom of the page.
You have the opportunity to oppose all types of cookies by configuring your browser settings directly:
Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/fr-FR/windows-vista/Block-or-allow-cookies
Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=fr&hlrm=en
Please note that blocking all cookies may prevent the normal operation of some websites and have the effect of depriving you of access to certain services.
In accordance with the recommendations of the National Commission for Data Processing and Personal Freedoms, if you enable an option of the “Do Not Track” type in your browser, no information about you will be collected to establish your profile and neither you nor your terminal will be tracked.
