CONTEXT FOR UNDERSTANDING THE CHALLENGES

In the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring employee safety and well-being, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, is essential to reducing the risk of accidents and fostering a satisfying work environment for teams.
Preventing work accidents is a major issue in the pharmaceutical industry. Whether resulting from exposure to or handling of certain chemicals, or physical risks such as falls or musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), employees working in the pharmaceutical sector are exposed to these types of risks every day.
Continuing education and skills development for employees serve to strengthen their expertise and operational performance and retain talent.

Diversity and inclusion, essential drivers of social cohesion, are also drivers of performance and innovation. Inclusion programmes, mentoring, and equal opportunity initiatives help to build employee motivation, their commitment, and the sense of belonging. These programmes also allow young people without qualifications, seniors, people with disabilities or long-term unemployed persons to find their place in the labour market, with the aim of increasing social justice and equal rights and opportunities.
In summary: health, safety, skills, and inclusion are at the heart of the CSR strategy, and they ensure both employee well-being and operational excellence in the service of patients.
