YOU MAY SOMETIMES HAVE DOUBTS, BUT YOU MUST BE DARING AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Testimony of Mathilde Grandjean, Operations excellence manager at Les Ulis site.
As Head of Operational Excellence, I organise and coordinate key projects aimed at improving the reliability, optimising and digitising industrial operations. But what motivates me most of all is working with the various industrial departments to solve problems and support the development of our staff.
Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by people who believed in me and challenged me to grow. They placed their trust in me, motivated me to seize opportunities and take on new roles. You may sometimes have doubts, but you must be daring and believe in you.
Since the birth of my third child, I’ve been working 80% of full time. It was a carefully considered decision, and I’m very happy with it. The LFB and my managers respect my work schedule, and I can really switch off when I’m with my children on Wednesdays. It’s this mutual trust that allows me to strike a balance between my work and family life.
If I had one advice for young women who are hesitant to take the plunge? Be daring, have confidence in yourselves. And above all, be curious, seek out opportunities and seize those that come your way. I hold a position of responsibility today because I dared to say yes.
